Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Today is a day of gratitude. Turkey, football, family, and pumpkin pie are all the things we think about Thanksgiving.

So here are the things I’m grateful for (there is no particular order):

  • Internet: It gave me access to all kinds of information that we didn’t have before technology. Also, if the internet didn’t exist then wordpress wouldn’t have existed so thank you internet.
  • Humanity: My fellow human beings! I always loved your craziness and intelligence at the same time. Y’all are amazing! Peace and love for you all!
  • Blogosphere: This is to all my fellow bloggers and my amazing people who decided to follow my blog. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be here today as a blogger.
  • Books: Since I’m a big book nerd, books are like my precious jewels. I need them like I need air.
  • United States: Even though I wasn’t born in the United States, I will always thank this country for giving me countless opportunities to live a better life. Also, as an American, I love and yet hate this country but I will always consider myself American. So thank America for giving me an identity.

I think that is all I can think of to be grateful for. What about you? What are you grateful for?

I’m ridiculous.

I always have been and always will be ridiculous. I say the most weirdest, strangest things like “who am I” or “humans are strange” out loud. From my personal experience, every time I say those things out loud people will look at me strangely and walk away from me. For goodness sake, I like talking to myself when I’m alone. I sometimes say random things about human beings in a third person language. Yup. It just got weirder. That’s me so get used it.

I’ve changed my URL address for this blog!

If you haven’t noticed, I recently changed my URL address to burningcandles90s.wordpress.com. I changed it because my previous URL sounded too plain and boring. Plus, I love candles! Like seriously, I have so many candles in my room. My room basically smells like burning waxes. My mom do not understand why I like it but I do for some reason. So that is another random fact about me.

The Neurons are Firing Right Now!

It is like I’m programmed to be interested in anything related to the human brain. My biology instructor and I were just talking about the recent article about mind-controlled gene expression. I’m curious of how the brainwaves affect our genetics. I’m assuming it might be related to psychoneuroimmunology, which is the study about how the mind affect our immune system. Think mind controls the body function.

Does anyone have suggestions for the best laptop/hybrid for me?

I have a MacBook Air 2012 version. It has been over 2 years of using this thing and now I have less than 2 hours of battery life on this thing. I need a laptop/hybrid that has a great battery life because I do all my homework on it. It also has to be portable and easy to carry around because I always bring my laptop to school to do my homework. I don’t care about the software, as long it can run safari because my school online source can only run well on safari. I also use my laptop for web surfing, netflix, hulu, microsoft software such as word and powerpoint.

I have thought of getting a iPad or a windows RT tablet because it is easy to carry around. I’m still shopping around. I want to buy a new one when Black Friday is close because I’ve heard that the laptop/tablets/hybrid are cheaper in this time.

So please comment on this post as suggestions. Thank you.
